Every baker I know has a signature recipe. For some, it’s a simple and easy pie. Some have a great cheesecake. For me, it’s chocolate chip cookies.
I found the base recipe in a cookbook I received as a gift about 15 years ago, and spent about 5 years tweaking and fiddling with it until I got it to where it is today. And where it is today is AMAZING (if I do say so myself).
I get requests for these cookies when I’m invited to a potluck, and my husband promises them to coworkers when he needs a favor at work. They’re pretty amazing.
Made entirely with brown sugar and no white, they are rich and get well-browned without any hint of a burnt taste.
A 1-inch ice cream scoop makes the perfect sized cookie, filled with gooey, delicious chocolate chips!
They make a perfect shareable dessert for any social gathering!
